About

Twisted pant leg started as a design research project looking at the abundance of discarded textiles. I was trying to understand how something that requires so much time, energy and skill to create can so easily be tossed aside, even when the function is still intact. This curiosity remains and I continue to study how different influences affect the way people perceive things.

Most projects start with materials that have been overlooked or discarded. I like to think objects can and should evolve over time, changing from one thing to another in order to create without always using new materials. I am always satisfied when I can see something again as if for the first time.

Graduated from the Industrial Design program at Emily Carr University.
